Built-in-pump vacuums combine a wet/dry vacuum for cleaning up dust, dirt, or liquid spills and a pump for transferring large volumes of water. They can suction debris or liquids into the tank like a standard shop vacuum or can connect to a garden hose to pump water through the hose as it's suctioned into the vacuum. This pumping feature eliminates the need to empty the tank when clearing water from flooded basements or broken pipes.
