Are you unhappy in your romantic relationship? We are looking for volunteers for a study on brain activity and depression at Purdue University. If you are 18-50 years old, married to or living with a romantic partner, have concerns about your current relationship, and are fluent in English, you may be eligible to participate. (Please note that we are only accepting one member from each couple to participate.) The study involves one visit to the lab lasting about 3 hours. Participants will be asked to complete an interview, several questionnaires, and have their brain activity recorded (EEG) while completing several simple computer tasks. The tasks will include responding quickly to shapes on the screen and viewing emotional stimuli. Participants will be paid $20 per hour for their time, plus a possible monetary bonus on some of the tasks. Some eligibility restrictions may apply; contact us for more information. The principal investigators for the study are Susan South, Associate Professor, and Daniel Foti, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychological Sciences.
